Farmer City Raceway to Race Weekly in 2010There has been much speculation surrounding the Farmer City Raceway this off season on whether or not weekly racing would return to FCR in 2010. All the speculation is over as the Farmer City Raceway will be racing weekly in 2010 under the direction of Brian Stuart. With the season just around the corner FCR is wasting no time releasing, what looks to be, an outstanding 2010 schedule. The season will kick off with a bang with the 3rd Annual Illini 100 paying $20,000 to the winner of the 100 lap World of Outlaws Late Model feature event on April 9th and 10th promoted by Don Hammer. The following Friday night, April 16th, regular weekly Friday night racing will start with UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Stock Cars, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Sport Compacts. Friday, April 30th, will be the 4th Annual Street Stock Nationals for the UMP Stock Cars. The Monster Midwest Series will hit the Farmer City Raceway on Friday, May 28th, paying $2,000 to the winner of the UMP Late Model feature. The UMP DIRTcar Summer National Hell Tour will roll onto FCR on Friday, June 25th, for the Firecracker Jamboree. The UMP Pro (Crate) Late Models will make another appearance at FCR on July 2nd along with a firework display after the races. Friday, July 23rd, will see the Monster Midwest Series at the Farmer City Raceway again paying $2,000 to the winner of the UMP Late Model feature. Starting on Saturday, September 18th, Farmer City Raceway will move the races to Saturday night and on that night will be Triple Modified Features with all 3 features counting towards UMP points. The following Saturday, September 25th will be the Wild Thang Nationals. The 3rd Annual King of Dirt will move to FCR in 2010 with a two day show on October 1st and 2nd.
